Patio trasero / Backyard

A ritmo de nuestro nuevo miembro de familia se nos escurren los dias entre pañales, siestas, amigos, tios, primos y abuelos. Mantener a Koru bien alimentado y sonriente demanda atención completa de mama, taita y la incursion ocasional de todos los antes mencionados. A esto se suman las varias horas que uno se pasa embelezado en esta hermosa criatura que cambia a diario. 

En términos ciclisticos, el resultado de toda esta ecuación es tener que regresar a explorar el patio trasero en salidas esporádicas de 5-6 horas. Tiempo suficiente para salir de Palugo a 2700 metros y subir hasta las aristas de los cerros cercanos a 4000 y mas metros, para luego quemar llanta en el regreso.  Rico saborear chaquiñanes conocidos, en paisajes conocidos  y regresar a lavar pañales y changar a mi guagua.

Nowadays rhythm is set by our new family member, days go by among diapers, short naps, friends, uncles, cousins and grandparents. Keeping Koru well feed and happy demands full attention of parents and the occasional intervention of everyone I just mentioned above. If there is any extra time it is generally spent gazing at this beautiful creature that changes day by day. 

Biking wise this whole thing means coming back to ride the local trails on short adventures of 5 or 6 hours. That provides enough time to leave Palugo which lies at 2700 meters and top out on some of the ridges and mountain tops generally above 4100 meters, leaving fast and technical descents for the way down. Its great to go ride well know trails and then come back to wash some diapers and cuddle with my son.
